【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodappliestodisposableandreusablewovenandnonwovenfabricsusedinsurgicalfabrics,includingsurgicaldrapesandgowns.1.2Thepurposeofthistestmethodistoprovidestandardmethodsfortestingandclassifyingtheignitionandflamepropagationcharacteristics,underrealisticexposureconditions,ofsurgicaldrapesandgownsaswellasotherfabricsusedinsurgery.1.3Thistestmethodpermitsevaluationoftheignitionandflamepropagationcharacteristicsoftextilematerialsexposedtosurgicallasersandelectricalcauterydevicesinatmospheresrangingfromambientairto100percentoxygenconcentration.Thistestmethoddoesnotindicatetheperformanceoftestedmaterialsunderexposureconditionssubstantiallydifferentfromthetestconditions.1.4ThistestmethodisadaptedfromtheflammabilitystandarddescribedintheCodeofFederalRegulations(CFR)Part1610[1],whichisadministeredbytheU.S.ConsumerProductSafetyCommission,tomeasureandregulatetheflammabilitycharacteristicsoftextilesandtextileproductsforclothinguse.1.5ModificationstotheCodeofFederalRegulations(CFR)Part1610testmethodforthisstandardinclude:a)TheuseofasurgicallaserandelectriccauterycommonlyusedduringsurgeryasrealisticignitionsourcesinplaceofthegasjetflamespecifiedinCFRPart1610andb)Theuseofoxygenenrichmentinthetestchambertosimulateoxygen-enrichedconditionsthatcanoccurduringsurgery.1.6Inthistestmethod,thebeamofasurgicallaserorelectriccauterywireisappliedalongthelongitudinalcenterlineofthesurfaceofa50.8-mm(2-inch)wideby152.4-mm(6-inch)longfabrictestspecimensupportedatanangleof45degreesinatestchamber.Theoxygenconcentrationinthetestchamberisvariedbetweenteststodeterminetheinfluenceofoxygenenrichmentontheignitionandflamepropagationcharacteristicsofthetestedfabrics.1.7Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
