【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversjointsforprecastconcretepipeandbox,andothersectionsusingpreformedflexiblejointsealantsforuseinstormsewersandculvertswhicharenotintendedtooperateunderinternalpressure,orarenotsubjecttoinfiltrationorexfiltrationlimits.Jointmaterialusedinhorizontalapplicationsisintendedtopreventtheflowofsolidsthroughthejoint.1.2Forprecastconcretemanholesectionsandotherverticalstructures,whicharesubjecttointernalorexternalpressure,infiltrationorexfiltrationlimitsarenotprohibitedfrombeingspecified.Jointsinverticalstructurescoveredbythisspecificationareintendedmainlytopreventtheflowofsolidsorfluidsthroughthejoint.1.3ThisspecificationistobeusedwithpipeandstructuresconforminginallrespectstoSpecificationsC14,C76,C478,C506,C507,C655,C985,C1433,C1504,andC1577,providedthatifthereisaconflictinpermissiblevariationsindimensions,therequirementsofthisspecificationshallgovern.1.4Thisspecificationistheinch-poundcompaniontoC990M;therefore,noSIequivalentsarepresentedinthespecification.Note18212;Thisspecificationcoversthematerialandperformanceofthejointandsealantonly.Infiltrationandexfiltrationquantitiesforinstalledsectionsaredependentonfactorsotherthanthejointswhichmustbecoveredbyotherspecificationsandsuitabletestingoftheinstalledpipeline.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
