【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretherateofflowofairornitrogenthroughrefractorybrickandmonolithsandtothusdeterminethepermeabilityoftestedproducts.Thistestmethodisusefulinresearchanddevelopmentforestablishingtherelativepermeabilityofproductswithincomparableclasses.Itmayalsobeusedtoidentifyacceptableproductsfordesignpurposesandtoestablishpermeabilitycriteriaforspecificationacceptance.Itmustberecognizedthatpermeabilitycanvaryindifferentdirectionsanddifferentpartsofarefractoryduetofactorssuchasformingprocedure,grainsizeanddistribution,andheattreatment.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthepermeabilityofrefractorybrickandmonoliths,fromwhichsuitablespecimenscanbecut,atroomtemperature.1.2Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.2.1Exceptions8212;TheapparatususedinthisstandardisonlyavailableinSIunits(Section4).Also,someofthecalculationsmustuseSIunitsonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
