【摘要】:Theseprocedurescanbeusedtoevaluatethreadsealantsrelativetocausingenvironmentalstress-crackinginthermoplasticmaterials.Thistestingresultsindeterminingtime-to-failurevs.engineeringstress.Thisprocedurecanalsobeusedinstress-ruptureregressionanalysis,whereavarietyofstresslevelsareneeded.Themethodologycanbereadilyadaptedtoconductingimmersiontestsinliquids.1.1Thistestmethodisusedfordeterminingchemicalcompatibilityofthreadsealantcompoundswiththreadedpipeandfittingsmaterials.Thisprocedureisgenerallyapplicabletothreadsealantcompoundswhichareeitherhard-cure,soft-cureornon-hardeningpasteatroomtemperatures(thatis,non-liquidorsemi-liquid).1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheflashpointofaviationturbinefuel,dieselfuel,kerosineandrelatedproductsinthetemperaturerangeof40to135?Cbyasmallscaleclosedcupapparatus.Thistestmethodisonlyapplicabletohomogeneousmaterialsthatareliquidatornearambienttemperatureandattemperaturesrequiredtoperformthetest.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoliquidscontaminatedbytracesofhighlyvolatilematerials.Thistestmethodisadynamicmethodanddependsonadefiniterateoftemperatureincrease.Itisoneofmanyflashpointmethodsavailable,andeveryflashpointtestmethod,includingthisone,isanempiricalone.Iftheuser'sspecificationrequiresadefinedflashpointmethod,neitherthistestnoranyothermethodshouldbesubstitutedfortheprescribedmethodwithoutobtainingcomparativedataandanagreementfromthespecifier.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7andtheMaterialSafetyDataSheetfortheproductbeingtested.
