【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoassistusers,particularlypowerplantoperators,inmaintainingeffectivecontrolovertheirlubricatingoilsandlubricationmonitoringprogram.Thispracticemaybeusedtoperformoilchangesbasedontestresultsratherthanonthebasisofservicetimeorcalendartime.Itisintendedtosaveoperatingandmaintenanceexpenses.Thispracticeisalsointendedtoassistusersinmonitoringlubricatingoilsandguardingagainstexcessivecomponentwear,oildegradation,orcontamination,therebyminimizingthepotentialofcatastrophicmachineproblemsthataremorelikelytooccurintheabsenceofsuchamonitoringprogram.Thispracticedoesnotnecessarilyreferenceallofthecurrentoiltestingtechnologiesandisnotmeanttoprecludetheuseofalternativeinstrumentationortestmethodswhichprovidemeaningfulortrendabletestdata,orboth.Someoiltestingdevices(typicallyusedforscreeningoilswhichwillbetestedaccordingtostandardmethods)providetrendableindicatorswhichcorrelatetowater,particulates,andothercontaminantsbutdonotdirectlymeasurethese.1.1Thispracticecoverstherequirementsfortheeffectivemonitoringofmineraloilandphosphateesterfluidlubricatingoilsinserviceauxiliary(non-turbine)equipmentusedforpowergeneration.Auxiliaryequipmentcoveredincludesgears,hydraulicsystems,dieselengines,pumps,compressors,andelectrohydrauliccontrol(EHC)systems.Itincludessamplingandtestingschedulesandrecommendedactionsteps,aswellasinformationonhowoilsdegrade.Note18212;Othertypesofsyntheticlubricantsaresometimesusedbutarenotaddressedinthispracticebecausetheyrepresentonlyasmallfractionofthefluidsinuse.Usersofthesefluidsshouldconsultthemanufacturertodeterminerecommendedmonitoringpractices.1.2Thispracticedoesnotcoverthemonitoringoflubricatingoilforsteamandgasturbines.Rather,itisintendedtocomplementPracticeD4378.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
