【摘要】:OptionAproceduresofTestMethodD3774forwidthareconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbecausetheyareusedextensivelyinthetrade.5.1.1IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestvalueswhenusingTestMethodD3774foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimenswhichareashomogeneousaspossibleandwhicharefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudent’t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinthelightoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthewidthoffabrics,pileornappedsurfacewidth,orboth.Themethodisapplicabletofullrolls,boltsoffabric,andshortspecimensremovedfromarollorbolt.Unlessotherwisespecified,measurementsshallincludetheselvageswhenpresent.1.2Themethodofferstwooptions:1.2.1OptionAFullRollorBolt.1.2.2OptionBShortSpecimenRemovedfromFullRollorBolt.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorU.S.customaryunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.TheU.S.customaryunitsmaybeapproximate.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
