【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverstationarygravityorpumpfedabcvegroundandunderground,atmospherictypeoil/waterseparatorsystemsintendedtoremoveoil,havingaspecificgravityof0.83-0.94at15℃(59℉),suspendedinwaterfromrainwaterrunoffornormalwashdownofstreets,highways,andparkinglotsataninletratenotexceedingthemarkedmaximuminfiuentconcentrationandflewrate.1.2Theserequirementscovergravityorpumpfedoil/waterseparatorsystemshavingcapacitiesof60to50,000gallons(227-189,270L)total.'1.3Oil/waterseparatorsareintendedforinstallationanduseinaccordancewiththeFlammableandCombustibleLiquidsCode,NFPA30;theAutomotiveandMarineServiceStationCode.NFPA30A;andtheStandardfortheInstallationofOil-BurningEquipment,NFPA31,orotherNationalorStatecodesforOil/WaterSeparationequipmentinstallationanduse.1.4Oil/waterseparatorsystemscoveredbytheserequirementsarefabricated,inspected,andtestedforleakagebeforeshipmentfromthefactoryascompletelyassembledunits,orwithinstructionsforfieldassemblyofminorcomponents.1.5Theserequirementsdonotcoveroilthathasbeenphysicallyemulsified(otherthanbyafeedpump),chemicallyemulsifiedordissolved.1.6Theserequirementsdonotcoverliquidleveldevices,overpressuredevices,heaters,pumps,monitors,shutoffvalves,orotherindividualmechanicalorelectricalcomponentswhicharenotanintegralpartof,orarerecommendedforusewith,theoil/waterseparatorsystem.TherequirementsforthesedevicesarecoveredunderseparatestandardsasreferencedinAppendixA.1.7Theserequirementsdonotcoveroil/waterseparatorsystemsintendedforcollectionorwashdownoflargeconcentratedspillsfromtankersorotherbulkcarders.1.8Theserequirementsdonotcoveroil/waterseparatorsystemsintendedtobeinstalledinmobilevehiclesorvessels.1.9Theserequirementsdonotcoveroil/waterseparatorsystemsforinstallationinhazardouschemicallocations,orforusewithhazardouschemicals.1.10Theserequirementsdonotcoveroil/waterseparatorsystemsforusewithoiloutsidetherangeof0-35℃(32-95℉).1.11Theserequirementsdonotcoveroil/waterseparatorsystemsformarineuse,orwashdownwithsaltwater,ascoveredundertheStandardforOilyWaterSeparatingEquipmentandOilContentMeters-UL1504.1,12Theserequirementsdonetcovertheabilityoftheoil/waterseparatorsystemstoperformoroperatewithdebrisorsuspendedsolidsintheoil/watermixture.1.13Theterm"separator"asusedinthisOutlinereferstothecompleteoil/waterseparatingsystems,oranypartthereofcoveredbythisOutlineunlessspecificallynotedotherwise.
